The Artist Behind the Signs

Chelsea Gorsuch

Posted on March 01 2021

When creating our Spring 2021 Collection, we knew that some fresh new abstract art pieces had to be in the mix! After all, our previous collaboration abstract pieces with Erin from Living in Yellow, Chelsea from Blessed Ranch, and Sarah from Grace In My Space have quickly become Joyfully Said favorites. Thankfully, our in-house team includes a talented graphic designer and artist who was happy to continue serving up abstract art, with FOUR new abstract pieces to add to our selection!

Introducing our in-house artist, Katlyn Gipson! Katlyn graduated from Indiana University- South Bend in 2016 with a degree in Graphic Design. She has been an integral part of our team since 2019 but didn't come aboard full time until February of 2020.

Katlyn remembers one of her college professors telling her that "art is problem-solving." This sentiment has stuck with her, so when she encounters a blank canvas she enjoys the challenge of pushing herself to create something new. While fine art hasn't always felt natural for Katlyn, over the years she has developed a love for the challenge of creating the vision that she has in her head and figuring out a way to best express it on paper.

Katlyn lives with her husband Zac and her dog Moose in Goshen, Indiana. Together they love to spend time outdoors riding their bicycles, going on walks, and taking jeep rides. During the colder months, cooking is a favorite past time. They are enneagram enthusiasts and you can often find them laughing at the show "Worst Cooks in America." We love Katlyn and we are so happy that she is part of our team. We are sure that her art will bless your home for years to come!
